TRG employee, Val Webb, volunteers at Junior Achievement’s BizTown.  BizTown is a simulated town located at 610 S. George Street in York provided for elementary school students within south central Pennsylvania.

Before coming to BizTown, the students have learned about running businesses and managing finances on a business and personal level.  Students interviewed (at their school) for a job within BizTown.  Their job can be in the local bank, restaurant, graphics shop, or City Hall (just to name a few).  The day at BizTown is the finale to the student’s in-class learning experience.  This day helps them combine what they learned in class with a simulated real life experience.

The adult volunteer’s job is to provide guidance and assist the students, when needed.  Val enjoys working with the students and watching them put what they have learned into motion.
