Transportation Resource Group, Inc. (TRG) was founded in 1989 in York, PA by Thomas Austin, PTP, with the simple vision of providing traffic study services that were Client-focused. From the modest beginnings of working from a home office, the firm started conducting traffic impact studies for Developers to meet PennDOT and municipal traffic requirements. Over the next few years, Jon Seitz, P.E., PTOE, joined the firm and TRG moved to an office in Downtown York, PA. TRG expanded its services by providing work for PennDOT, local municipalities and agencies on projects such as the Quakertown Improvement Project and the Lewistown Narrows (US 22/322) Widening Project. Around the year 2000, the firm added current key employees, Dan Thornton, P.E., Chris Schwab, P.E., Joe Eberly, P.E., and Julie Thornton. To better serve our Developer Clients, TRG saw a need to add DOT access design and highway permitting to its growing list of traffic engineering services. 

Today, our highly experienced engineers and planners continue to be Client-focused and apply our years of industry knowledge to every project no matter the size. Our mission is to fulfill our Clients’ expectations to make each project successful and to build lasting relationships.
