It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the loss of Transportation Resource Group’s (TRG) founder, Thomas C. Austin, PTP. Tom passed peacefully on November 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family after a 20-month battle with glioblastoma cancer. As many of you know, Tom has always been a fierce competitor, dating back to his collegiate track and field days, the running of numerous marathons (including Boston), and his advocacy for the company’s many clients and projects. Tom’s determination in overcoming all obstacles brought about the saying to be “Tough Like Tom” and he truly embraced that motto.
Tom started TRG out of his home on St. John’s Place in Dallastown in the late 1980’s and incorporated the business in 1989. His passion for this company was evident to everyone who knew him. All of us at TRG will continue to carry out his love and passion for this company and will continue to preserve the relationships Tom nurtured. We have taken care to ensure that TRG is prepared to continue in his absence. We take this time to remember the amazing life of Tom Austin and to honor his legacy with TRG.
